Gopal, the sortable tables are done using the jquery plugin Flexigrid for the presentation and mysql/php for the sorting. It’s really neat hey.

arsenal, the stats I gathered are from the PC version, some platforms (psp) don’t have each teams complete squad so some lesser-known players may be missing.

Which player is the cheapest and the best player, and who has the max growth?

I haven’t done much research on scouted players so unfortunately I wont be too much help.

Now i found out that it is because I am using GOOGLE CHROME, you guys should put on a warning: “DOESN’T WORK WITH GOOGLE CHROME”!

I’m not sure about next-gen (xbox360,ps3). I am under the impression that the players improve more based on playing/training more so than just natural growth.

I will try and compare a few players on ps3 to verify whether this theory is true or not sometime soon.

I’m just into my third season in fifa09 on xbox360. An i’d say that this guide is almost correct although the peak overalls must vary depending on experience points cause ronaldo and rooney are both 98 in mine and nani is 96

I have found a new one, who is not on your list.
His name is Marek Suchy, he is czech, 20 yo and starts at 71. Peak is 88.
I dont know what team is he playing for, i’ve got him from the free agents on the winter transfer list season 1.

You can usually expect at least a 2-3 bump on the peak overall of a player that you play all the time.

The stats were gathered by creating a team for manager mode and then quick-siming the matches, very boring…

Suchý and Baxter are both on the list.

players older than 23 are unlikely to improve much more than 2-4, if at all.

but there are guys like torres n ribery who reach 93…u might know who else peaks that high rite?

I think that old players stop growing, while you players grow up to a max of 5.

What is crouch’s peak? In a few short years they seem to have crumbled, stats looking so different from their past perfection.

Sturridge on my game is 80 overall and every year arsenal wants to buy it for 4 million higher

I think that the max improvement is 5, and the less they play, the less they improve.

Bonus for goals are so impt. 15% gives strikers the motivation to score at every game.

i think that you are all stupid because to get a good side that grows alot just pick your favourite team and make all of the players born in 1992. that way you will have a young side that will end up in the 80′s atleast and you dont have to buy anyone. plus you can make a profit out of the 1′s that are already in the 80′s because they will go for more because of the ovr all and the age.

if you dont think that is a good idea then go ahead and hand your money out but think about it what would be better a free young side or a not free young side.

Hey admin, how did you work out all the overall ratings for the players? I assume you loaded the database using the DB Master tool then exported the players table then processed the data? most players will grow beyond their peak due to experience gained from playing games. Usually this is by 2 or 3.

My team is QPR and quite good. Cost about 1/20th of a Ronaldo.

Admin – if you got the time would you be able to make a column for boosted potentials? So if we want a team of 98-99s we know who get be boosted there. Because players like Vela hit 95 but cant be boosted higher but sergio ramos hits 92 and can be boosted to 98. I think you can find this info out on the PC database.

Hey, what is this training thing? I mean on Xbox 360, in the manager mode, I don’t have a training option that affects player ratings.

It’s only depending on their matches, and how good they were. Th better their grade is and the longer the played, the greater will be their experience points.

These points can be spent on their attributes either automatically or manually.

I do it manually.

If it’s ok, I have 4 players that I use in my AS Monaco team that met the requirements.

I mean I’m not always playing with the same team and didn’t keep everybody cuz I didn’t have the time to make a lot of potential players grow, but some that I kept REALLY WORTH IT!!!

I think the details for Rene Adler (Goalkeeper) may be wrong. I’m only in my third season and he’s a 92 overall.

PC, PS2 and Xbox 360/PS3 all work differently. In the next gen version, you can’t organise training slots. And also, the growth depends on your striker, midfielder, defence and goalkeeper coaches, and also the player ratings after the match. Little tip aswell, once your player gets to 99, be sure to go to player growth (under team management). You’ll find your 99 players gather up experience for some reason ( i think the computer stops training them up once you get to 99). At the moment, i’ve got gerrard almost as good as reina in goal. And players DO NOT have a peak. If you’ve simmed all the matches (presumably you’ll have lost some), in the xbox version anyway, your player won’t get as much experience as if your team had won. There are too many factors. Best to search for players who are 16-23 and have at least 75 rating. You can guarantee they will be at 99 after 5 seasons, as long as your coaches are all 10 and you win all your matches. But yes, that’s an estimate, as is this table. There are just too many factors.

yep coutinho goes from 56 to 87 with no training. He can reach 88 with training

Toni Kroos fro, bayern munich is a good young player and he will even go out on loan to championship teams such as preston north end in a few years he will be at least 91

How about Sebastian Givinco from Juventus, I brought him for 10 million on my first season and he scored 4 goals on his debut, A goal from far out half way through the season and his OVR in MM for me now is 86 when I brought him when he was 79 OVR.

Yeah does anyone know that you don’t have to pay for the players to come to your squad if you have a Xbox 360 or maybe PS3, but all you have to do is edit the squad before entering a tournament and transfer the players from different squads into yours, the results should be good. So the players you have chosen and put in your squad will now be in your squad for the start of the tournament

in one of the earlier comments, admin said older players dont develop i beg to differ,Van der sar is rated at 86 to start off with im now in my 11th season and he is still playing a 49 years old his peak now is 99, so they do still develop regardless on age, but your OVR peak is rubbish im not saying you made it up, im sayin OVR peak depends on Player AUTOGROWTH being on or off, the levels of your staff, there playing time and end of match rating, so you could say that pato for instance goes to 96 when on mine he’s only 83 because i dont play with him.

How do you score free kicks on PS3?? And the best player to buy on the game is either Fabiano Delph ot Francesc Fabregas both of them are emence and will score goals through out the season.

As long as you’re skilled at the game you can take them to the top and win the premier in your 4th year.
Some players from further down are great too – Billy Clarke – Darlington, Becchio (stick him on the left – superb!!!)Leeds and Ricky Lambert (Bristol Rovers).
I guarantee you’d enjoy managing a lower league team – I had a go with Dagenham too.

chrissy: with the first bit of money you get got to office -> staff upgrades and put your team fitness up to 10, after a game or 2 u will see the difference

Hyper so if you upgrade team fitness up to ten it will get you lvl up on wii coz i just sighned contarct with Siena in seria B after winning FA cup and english League cup and preimer league with newcastle with 17 million spare Also what lvl do you have to be to sign contracts with 5 star and 4 star teams???

Oh yh you can trian players by going to calendar and licking on empty sport and then you will pick which positions you trian and pick what they try to im prove

I was once playing with Chelsea. Since I had good strikers like Drogba and Anelka, I loaned out S. Kalou, who was at 82 in the 1st season. After loaning him for 6 consecutive seasons (to save the money of salaries) when he returned, his overall was at 98 and his value was around 65 Mil $.

Note: I used to loan him out to whichever club made the 1st offer.

there are more, lucas podolski – bought him 1st season with tottenham speed and shot power unbeleivable, make him play alongside agbanlahor, best partnership. daniel sturridge also great, he’s 19 and by the time he is 21 his overal is over 80. do not buy ashley young i reccomend david silva from valencia

players not to buy : YOUNG, ROBBEN they are flops. you can make easy money with ashley young, buy him in your 1st season as your 1st transfer, make him play all season, the next season you can sell him for at least over 24 MILLION. if you keep him for 2 seasons and keep playing him he will be worth around 34-50 MILLION. he cant shoot or cross, david bentley is much better. if you need someone that can cross the ball your lookin for VICENTE. players with exteame power shots: podolski, modric. both have exreamly powerful shots, 90% of the time they go in whereever you shoot from

@ Musaab – The peak that this website has provided is if you was to leave Rooney and not play him, you are also increasing his overall. He can go to 99 along with most others.

@muz – I do doubt that you will be able to buy Messi with 19mil. I bought him with Arsenal for 49mil and he is currently 94 overall. He is very good but i dont think he is worth the amount you have to pay. Id advise you to buy Nasri i think he is amazing he is rated 93 on my game and he doesnt always get first tea football.

I think Fifa 09 is a brilliant game but I don’t know what to do next. I find this information brilliant and I’m going to use it.
What i think is good to do on the game is create your own team (15 yr olds)and transfer them to a good team then you can get them to 80-85 in just a couple of season. I am also wondering why mickael Landreau isn’t there, i had him on fifa 09 and i got him up to 97
